Leather repair
Tears, cracks and mechanical damage — from a single cut to rebuilding a whole section.
More about this serviceFrom Żukowo and the surrounding area we mainly get cars that have carried animals — scratched door panels, worn rear seat edges and claw marks on the backrests.
A dog getting in through the back door does exactly the same thing to the leather every time: scratches on the sill, wear on the side of the rear seat and punctures in the backrest. This isn't damage you can “polish out” — the material is broken in spots and has to be rebuilt.
We fill punctures and scratches with compound, then recreate the leather grain around them so the repairs don't stay as smooth patches, and re-colour the whole panel so the colour matches.
With animals there's a second problem few people mention openly: the smell gets into the foam under the upholstery. Cleaning the leather alone won't remove it — we tell you this before quoting, not after.
After restoration we protect the surface, but the most effective thing is an ordinary seat protector mat. We'll tell you which ones work on leather and which leave dents in it.
Each of these services has its own page — with a description, the course of work and photos.

More about this serviceHoles, worn-through areas and tears filled with compound, with the surrounding leather grain matched.
More about this serviceColours matched to the type of leather: one kind for pigmented car upholstery, another for aniline and semi-aniline furniture leather.
More about this serviceA dog's claws leave two kinds of marks on leather: shallow scratches in the finish and deeper cuts where the leather is sliced through. The first are a matter of filling and colouring. The second have to be backed from underneath, filled and the grain recreated.
The inside of the door panels and the edge of the rear bench, where the dog jumps in, take the worst of it. On the edge the leather is also worn, so besides the scratches we fill the damage along its whole length.
After restoration we protect the leather with a finish that is harder than the factory one. It won't stop every claw, but shallow scratches stay in it rather than in the leather.
The workshop is in Gdańsk, ul. Litewska 12 — Żukowo is about 18 km away in a straight line.
Send a photo of the whole thing and a close-up of the damage, or just give us a call. From that we tell you whether it can be saved.
We give you the scope of work and the price. If restoration isn't worth it, we'll say so plainly — it happens, and it's better to hear it before than after.
Cleaning, damage repair, re-colouring, protection. On larger jobs we send you progress photos.
We tell you what to care for the leather with and what damages it fastest. That usually decides whether the result lasts for years.
The quickest way is this: a photo of the whole item, a close-up of the damage and a note on what the item or part is. On that basis we'll tell you whether it can be saved and what it will cost.
