Sofa and Corner Suite Restoration
Sagging seat cushions, worn armrests, faded colour. Full cycle: cleaning, leather softening, filling, re-colouring, protection.
More about this serviceFrom Reda we mainly get furniture: sofas and corner sofas that are too good to throw away and too tired to leave as they are.
A corner sofa in real leather will outlive two sets of faux-leather furniture. The trouble is that it wears unevenly — the seats and armrests lose colour and grain, while the backs look almost new. Replacing the whole thing would mean throwing away three quarters of a perfectly good piece of furniture.
Cleaning, softening stiffened areas, filling worn spots, re-colouring the whole thing evenly and protection. With unpigmented leathers — aniline and semi-aniline — we use different chemistry, because an opaque coating would kill their natural grain pattern.
On pigmented leathers it's a real option and a common reason people bring furniture in: the sofa is solid, but its colour no longer suits the room.
It's usually enough to bring the removable cushions and covers. If the piece can't be taken apart, we arrange transport for the whole thing.
Each of these services has its own page — with a description, the course of work and photos.

More about this serviceFilling with repair compound and recreating the leather grain, so the repaired area doesn't stand out as a smooth patch.
More about this serviceUncoated leathers need different chemistry and a different technique than pigmented car upholstery — otherwise the finish comes off along with the dirt.
More about this serviceA lighter option for leather that isn't damaged, just tired: cleaning, conditioning and protection without re-colouring.
More about this serviceIn furniture used every day, the same places always wear: the seat that gets sat on most, the armrest under your hand and the headrest from hair. On top of that, scratches from claws and stains that work their way into the leather over time.
We fill and colour wear and scratches, and clean greasy marks on the headrests and renew the colour. If the leather is worn right through over a large area, we tell you plainly that replacing the cover on that one module will be better than patching.
With furniture we first check whether the leather is pigmented or aniline — the whole method depends on it. Confusing the two is the most common cause of failed DIY restorations.
The workshop is in Gdańsk, ul. Litewska 12 — Reda is about 34 km away in a straight line.
Send a photo of the whole thing and a close-up of the damage, or just give us a call. From that we tell you whether it can be saved.
We give you the scope of work and the price. If restoration isn't worth it, we'll say so plainly — it happens, and it's better to hear it before than after.
Cleaning, damage repair, re-colouring, protection. On larger jobs we send you progress photos.
We tell you what to care for the leather with and what damages it fastest. That usually decides whether the result lasts for years.
The quickest way is this: a photo of the whole item, a close-up of the damage and a note on what the item or part is. On that basis we'll tell you whether it can be saved and what it will cost.
