Seat and rear bench restoration
The most common job: a worn driver's seat bolster and a sagging cushion. Cleaning, filling, re-colouring and protecting the whole surface so the colour matches.
More about this serviceFrom Elbląg we get more single driver's seats than anything else — because that one bolster wears first and spoils the look of the whole interior.
The outer bolster of the driver's seat wears several times faster than the rest of the upholstery: it gets rubbed every time you get in and out. In a high-mileage car it is usually the only place that really looks bad.
Colour alone on a worn bolster comes off within a few months, because the surface has lost its grain and flexes every time you get in. The damage has to be filled with compound and the grain pattern recreated first, and only then re-coloured and protected.
We re-colour the whole seat, not just the patch — otherwise the repaired section would look fresher than its neighbour. In light interiors we also even out the shade on the rear seat if the difference is visible.
Elbląg is about an hour's drive from Gdańsk. You only need to remove the seat and bring it in — there's no need to leave the car.
Each of these services has its own page — with a description, the course of work and photos.

More about this serviceHoles, worn-through areas and tears filled with compound, with the surrounding leather grain matched.
More about this serviceColours matched to the type of leather: one kind for pigmented car upholstery, another for aniline and semi-aniline furniture leather.
More about this serviceTears, cracks and mechanical damage — from a single cut to rebuilding a whole section.
More about this serviceThe door-side bolster of the driver's seat is the most heavily loaded spot in the whole car. Every time you get in and out, the leather is flexed under your body weight and rubbed by your trousers — several thousand times a year. First it goes dull and develops a web of fine cracks, then the finish wears through to bare leather, and in the end the material itself splits.
At the stage of a cracked finish, cleaning, filling and colouring are enough. When the leather is worn right through, we back it from underneath, fill the damage and recreate the grain so the repaired spot doesn't stand out as a smooth patch. We colour the whole panel, not just the repair — otherwise the fresh colour stands out from the rest of the seat.
Often the driver's seat alone is enough. We match the colour to the other seats, not to a catalogue, because after years the leather in every car has a shade of its own.
The workshop is in Gdańsk, ul. Litewska 12 — Elbląg is about 54 km away in a straight line.
Send a photo of the whole thing and a close-up of the damage, or just give us a call. From that we tell you whether it can be saved.
We give you the scope of work and the price. If restoration isn't worth it, we'll say so plainly — it happens, and it's better to hear it before than after.
Cleaning, damage repair, re-colouring, protection. On larger jobs we send you progress photos.
We tell you what to care for the leather with and what damages it fastest. That usually decides whether the result lasts for years.
The quickest way is this: a photo of the whole item, a close-up of the damage and a note on what the item or part is. On that basis we'll tell you whether it can be saved and what it will cost.
