Sofa and Corner Suite Restoration
Sagging seat cushions, worn armrests, faded colour. Full cycle: cleaning, leather softening, filling, re-colouring, protection.
More about this serviceFrom Kolbudy we mainly get furniture from family homes — large corner sofas and armchairs, where transport is a subject in itself.
With a large piece of furniture the first question isn't “how much does restoration cost” but “how do I get it to you”. The answer is usually simpler than it seems: on most corner sofas the cushions and covers come off, and then only what really needs work makes the trip.
The frame stays with you. You bring the seat and back cushions and the removable armrest covers. That fits in an ordinary estate car.
With furniture that is sewn on permanently or glued to the frame. Then we arrange transport — from Kolbudy it's about half an hour.
Cleaning, softening, filling worn areas, re-colouring and protection. With unpigmented leathers we use different chemistry from pigmented ones — otherwise the furniture loses its natural grain pattern.
Each of these services has its own page — with a description, the course of work and photos.

More about this serviceFilling with repair compound and recreating the leather grain, so the repaired area doesn't stand out as a smooth patch.
More about this serviceIf a seat, a rear bench or a panel has to come out — we do it in-house, without sending you to another garage.
More about this serviceA protective layer applied at the end of every restoration — and separately, on leather that is still in good condition.
More about this serviceA living-room corner sofa or a sofa set is often a dozen or more modules and several dozen kilograms. The first question with a restoration like this is not "what to do" but "how to transport it" — and that's where we start the conversation.
Most corner sofas come apart into modules. We agree whether you bring them yourself or we arrange transport. With large furniture, and where justified, part of the work can be done on site.
Cleaning, filling worn areas on the seats and armrests, colouring all the modules in one shade and protecting them. We restore the set together, so the modules don't differ from one another in colour.
The workshop is in Gdańsk, ul. Litewska 12 — Kolbudy is about 15 km away in a straight line.
Send a photo of the whole thing and a close-up of the damage, or just give us a call. From that we tell you whether it can be saved.
We give you the scope of work and the price. If restoration isn't worth it, we'll say so plainly — it happens, and it's better to hear it before than after.
Cleaning, damage repair, re-colouring, protection. On larger jobs we send you progress photos.
We tell you what to care for the leather with and what damages it fastest. That usually decides whether the result lasts for years.
The quickest way is this: a photo of the whole item, a close-up of the damage and a note on what the item or part is. On that basis we'll tell you whether it can be saved and what it will cost.
