Marine upholstery
Yacht and motorboat interiors and decks. Materials resistant to sun, salt and moisture — in this environment ordinary furniture leather doesn't stand a chance.
More about this serviceFrom Malbork and the Nogat area we mainly get boat and motorboat interiors — and upholstery from cars that stand outdoors all year round.
Leather and upholstery on a boat work in conditions in which furniture material doesn't stand a chance: damp, salt, full sun for the whole season, and no ventilation below deck all winter.
We use materials resistant to UV and damp, and we run the seams so that water doesn't collect in the stitching. With cockpit seats we also replace what you can't see — foam that has soaked up water and no longer dries out.
The second common case: a car with no garage, where after a few years the leather on the dashboard and the tops of the seats is hard and cracked. Softening stops the process before the cracks become irreversible, and a protector shields it from the next season of sun.
Malbork is about an hour from Gdańsk. With boat upholstery it's usually enough to bring just the seats and covers — there's no need to transport the boat.
Each of these services has its own page — with a description, the course of work and photos.

More about this serviceProducts that protect against UV, water and denim dye transfer — the most common cause of stains on light-coloured seats.
More about this serviceLeather exposed to the sun goes stiff — fastest of all in a car. Softening brings back its suppleness before it starts to crack.
More about this serviceA lighter option for leather that isn't damaged, just tired: cleaning, conditioning and protection without re-colouring.
More about this serviceThe upholstery of a boat or of a car parked outside all year ages differently from upholstery kept in a garage. The sun burns out the colour and dries the leather from the top, moisture gets in from below through the seams and foam, and the temperature swing between day and night makes the finish move and crack in the folds.
First a deep clean — salt, algae and dust from the fields get into the pores of the leather, and unless they are removed no colour will hold. Then softening so the leather regains its suppleness, filling the cracks and colouring. Finally a protector with a UV filter, which for interiors kept outdoors is not an extra but the condition for the result to last more than one season.
If the foam under the cover has soaked up water, restoring the leather alone is not enough — the foam would keep it damp from below. We tell you this straight away when we quote.
The workshop is in Gdańsk, ul. Litewska 12 — Malbork is about 43 km away in a straight line.
Send a photo of the whole thing and a close-up of the damage, or just give us a call. From that we tell you whether it can be saved.
We give you the scope of work and the price. If restoration isn't worth it, we'll say so plainly — it happens, and it's better to hear it before than after.
Cleaning, damage repair, re-colouring, protection. On larger jobs we send you progress photos.
We tell you what to care for the leather with and what damages it fastest. That usually decides whether the result lasts for years.
The quickest way is this: a photo of the whole item, a close-up of the damage and a note on what the item or part is. On that basis we'll tell you whether it can be saved and what it will cost.
