Removal and refitting of trim

Almost every serious job on leather starts with taking the part out. A seat, a rear bench, a door panel, a lining — very little can be done in place, and what can be done turns out worse.

We do it in-house. We don't send you to another garage, we don't ask you to bring in “just the cover”, and we don't charge removal as a separate job you only find out about at the end.

What it covers

• Removing seats, rear benches, door panels and linings from the vehicle.
• Stripping the part down to the foam when the job calls for it.
• Refitting and checking whatever was disconnected along the way — sensors, heating, adjustment.

Why it matters

In newer cars there is electronics under the seat: the passenger occupancy sensor, the side airbag, the memory settings control. Disconnecting them without the right procedure ends with a warning light on the dashboard, and sometimes a disabled airbag — a fault you only find out about at the next service.

That is why we ask about the year and specification when quoting. The same seat in two versions of the same model is two different jobs.
